Mediterranean Architecture Whole House

When Mr. and Mrs. Adams found a manicured lot on a canal with easy access to Tampa Bay, they knew they had found the perfect location for their dream home. The Adams knew they wanted a Mediterranean Style architecture customized to reflect their family and lifestyle.  The homeowner’s interior designer turned to Gulf Tile for assistance in turning their dream into a reality.

The result of the collaboration is a beautiful 4,722 square feet of space that has:

The home has soaring ceilings throughout and a large, beautifully appointed master bedroom. Gulf Tile custom built cabinets in all four bathrooms, laundry room, and the kitchen and pool bath. There are two elements of the home design that we wanted to share in more detail, the kitchen and master bath.

The Kitchen

Our design expert Sandy worked with the Adams to design a kitchen that is warm and inviting yet designed for function and performance. The room includes custom-built cabinets with select hardware that provide extensive under and over counter storage. A glass-doored cabinet provides an excellent display for cherished items and a custom-built shelf over the stovetop provides another element of interest.

The beautifully tiled backsplash enhances the visual appeal of the room and the large, 18 x 18 ceramic floor tiles are set on a diagonal to add an additional element of style.

Each element is unique and exceptional in its own right and combine to create an extraordinary kitchen.

The Master Bath

The master bath is a large, open room with his and her vanities on opposite walls, giving the couple plenty of space to complete their morning rituals without bumping elbows. The vanity cabinets provide plenty of drawers for easy storage of bottles, brushes and blow dryers, which keep the counter tops free of clutter.

The flooring is a stunning plank ceramic tile that off-sets the dark finish of the cabinets. This same tile is used on the walls of the glass and tile-sided shower. The primary tile is offset with a double-wide strip of a complementary tile that adds shine and sophistication. The shower floor is six-sided porcelain mosaic that mimics the shape of the shower.

The Client Experience

The Adams are thrilled with their new home and valued the expertise and advice provided by our Gulf Tile team. From design to installation, we met their every need and they expressed their appreciation in this note:

“Thank you Gulf Tile for providing professional service and quality products to complete our new home. Sandy designed our kitchen and she was simply amazing.  She was easy to work with, had great ideas and was really knowledgeable about the lines of products that would work for us.  In her place was Robert.  He was patient and dedicated, and no matter how much time would lapse between projects, he would happily jump right in again to meet our needs.  Frank and Roy were both terrific at making sure our dream projects came to fruition with their precision and expert installation. It has been a pleasure from start to finish working with Gulf Tile and its employees.”
