WFLA Daytime Show Interviews Gulf Tile & Cabinetry on Flooring Trends

Gulf Tile & Cabinetry was recently featured on the popular Channel 8 television show Day Time. Gulf Tile President, Frank John Garcia, and Vice President, Lou Piniella, Jr. met with the hosts to discuss the latest trends and options in using porcelain tile in home décor.  During the segment they talked about the popularity of porcelain wood plank floors and large format tiles.

Porcelain Wood Planking

One of the most popular flooring options today is porcelain wood planking which comes in a variety of styles and colors.  Digital input technology allows for the minute details of natural wood to be imprinted into the tile, giving it the look and feel of natural wood.  More durable and scratch resistant then wood, the porcelain planks are also water resistant and can be used in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms.  It can be used throughout the home, giving it a cohesive floor finish.

Large Format Tiles

These tiles come in 5 x 10 foot slabs and can be used on floors or walls, inside or out.  They are strong, durable and beautiful.  With these tiles we can duplicate any stone type, allowing you to have the look and feel of a natural stone that might otherwise be too porous or brittle to be used for countertops or flooring.  Our installers are specially trained to work with this tile.

Mr. Garcia and Mr. Piniella, Jr. also reminded the audience that Gulf Tile & Cabinetry carries many other tile products, wood flooring and cabinets.  They also discussed that this year they are celebrating the 55th anniversary of Gulf Tile & Cabinetry by offering sale prices on select products.  Come and visit our new “TV Celebrities” and check out all of our great products.
